Ethical and fair tradingThe Honest Sausage always aims to trade both ethically and with a strong focus on quality and reliability. For answers to some questions about our policies please look at our FAQ's. This tends to be focused into two areas: Stringent supplier checks and the use of approved organic suppliers wherever possible, thus reflecting our concern for the environment. This is all to do with our respect for the world we live in. This means that we will also strive to use recyclable materials for disposables within our operations. Additionally we support the aims of Fairtrade© which is the trademark of the Fairtrade Foundation. Fairtrade© is concerned with the social costs of production which means that it strives to achieve stable prices for growers and suppliers in the developing world. This also helps to fund community projects which serve the wider community of these groups. The Fairtrade Foundation has made great steps in achieving higher recognition for Fairtrade© and the UK now represents the second largest market in the world for its branded products.
